From Principal's Desk

Any/every artistic creation enriches/adorns our lives. Even while fulfilling the basic needs like food, cloths and shelter, human mind always seeks the beauty. We are all naturally gifted with the desire to express ourselves. And with that, starts the exchange of human emotions. Some express themselves with words and some with the music. Some are blessed with colours and forms whereas some with physical expressions. This urge to express yields the art forms like painting, sculpture, dance, plays and literature.

An excellent artist is cultivated/created when this natural seed of art is nourished and well trained. How can Art as a subject be neglected when literature, commerce, science, medicine and technology are flourishing! Since the ancient times, the education of art is thriving through the great/sacred ‘Guru-Shishya’ tradition in India.

Today, the Directorate of Art in Maharashtra is the only government education board in India which is independently dedicated to the field of ‘Visual Arts’. ‘Thane School of Art’ which is directed by ‘Thane Art Society’; is the only institute in Thane to offer the courses/syllabus offered/affiliated by this government board.

These courses inspire the ingenuity not only of the students but also of the teachers. The/Our institute always try to collaborate and exchange with various parts/aspects of society and people around us rather than confining within the walls of classrooms and sticking to government syllabus/books. We put all our efforts to make the whole process of learning more dynamic and enthusiastic.

Today, our lives are becoming all the time more complex, in which the artwork is like a tender and delightful breeze. Therefore, art education recognizes the hidden talent and develops the creativity which progresses the students to the financial independence.

We are deeply satisfied and greatly proud that numerous students have accomplished their education in our Institute and have established themselves successfully in their fields.
